Full details

This is an independent contractor (1099) CRNA role at the Emerge Ortho surgery center in New Brunswick. Emerge Ortho is a North Carolina orthopedic group formed in 2016 by the merger of four leading practices, and it operates 45 outpatient offices across 21 counties. Its Brunswick Medical Office building brings together orthopedic and spine care, interventional pain management, diagnostic imaging, and full therapy services, and the group also has specialists at its Brunswick Forest location.

The practice describes a care team model that emphasizes giving every member a voice while supporting one another and working together to deliver excellent care. Compensation is listed at $185 per hour with a guarantee. The caseload spans general orthopedics, joint replacement of the hip, knee, and shoulder, sports medicine, hand and upper extremity work, foot and ankle procedures, spine work, and interventional pain management. Prior regional anesthesia experience is considered an asset, and the role offers considerable independence.

Responsibilities include delivering anesthesia care across a range of surgical cases, completing pre-anesthesia assessments, and securing informed consent. The CRNA also builds anesthetic plans in discussion with patients, manages induction, maintenance, and emergence, and monitors physiological status while intervening as needed. Contributing to departmental coordination and clinical leadership is also part of the position.

Candidates need a current registered nurse license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists. Applicants must supply Articles of Incorporation for an S or C corporation and carry their own malpractice coverage at the full state limits.
