Full details
NorthStar Anesthesia is looking for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join a collaborative care team at AdventHealth Central Texas in Killeen, Texas. Candidates at every experience level are welcome, including seasoned CRNAs, student registered nurse anesthetists, and recent graduates. Newcomers are supported with a structured onboarding process and mentoring from experienced CRNAs and anesthesiologists.
CRNAs in this practice work within a care team model and handle a varied caseload that includes obstetrics, light pediatrics, ENT, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general cases, and endoscopy. The schedule is flexible and includes only a limited number of late starts. Call is taken from home by pager within a 30-minute radius, with on-site call rooms for anyone living farther away. Only one CRNA is on call at a time, with an anesthesiologist serving as backup, and a day off follows each call shift.
On occasion, the role includes work at Rollins Brook, a CRNA-only facility located in nearby Lampasas.
Pay is advertised as a base salary between $270,000 and $290,000 or more, with additional compensation, incentives, and stipends on top. Benefits include health, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, short- and long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance, malpractice coverage, an annual CME allowance of $1,500 with rollover and CEU funding, pet insurance, and learning and development programs.
The hospital is a 148-bed acute-care community facility with modern equipment. Its anesthesia department is an established group of CRNAs and anesthesiologists that supports up to five ORs or NORAs and provides round-the-clock obstetric anesthesia.
