Full details
A facility in Minnesota is looking for CRNA locum coverage starting in October, with the engagement running on an ongoing basis. Several providers are needed to cover weekday shifts from Monday through Friday, and occasional weekend shifts may be available as well.
The practice is medically directed and works alongside a collegial group of anesthesiologists. A typical 8-hour day involves an average of 1 to 2 longer cases or 3 to 4 shorter cases. The surgical schedule is busy and spans nearly all specialties, excluding transplant and pediatric heart procedures. Anesthesia is delivered one-to-one in the operating rooms, Cath Lab, GI suite, EP, MRI, and CT as needed, and patients of every age group are served.
The practice runs seven days a week. Weekday shifts are 8, 10, or 12 hours long, while weekend shifts are 12 or 16 hours. Each shift includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Coverage is needed across five separate locations, one of which is a Level I Trauma Center.
Candidates must hold a master's or doctoral degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia school and hold a current Minnesota RN anesthetist license or be able to obtain one. Current CPR, BCLS, and ACLS certification is required. Applicants must be certified by the NBCRNA, or be a graduate of an accredited program who is waiting for initial certification.
The staffing agency handling this placement provides malpractice coverage, coordinated travel, and competitive pay, and it is a member of NALTO.
