Full details
This locum tenens assignment in New York sits within an inpatient anesthesia department with 31 anesthesia rooms. CRNAs work under MD supervision at a 3:1 CRNA-to-MD ratio, and the supervising MDs also carry their own cases. Charting is done in Cerner. The case mix centers on general and orthopedic procedures.
Shift options are 8 hours (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM), 10 hours (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM), or 12 hours (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM), with 8- and 10-hour shifts preferred. Overtime is available but not expected. Privileging is estimated to take about 75 days, and help with obtaining a state license is offered.
Candidates must hold AANA certification or recertification through the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists, along with a current registered professional nurse license. Those who still need a New York state license will be considered.
