Full details
An ongoing locum tenens assignment in New Mexico is available for Board-Certified CRNAs, with an ASAP start possible. The role is based in both inpatient and outpatient settings and combines scheduled clinical hours with call, and weekend coverage is required. Several providers are being sought for the assignment.
The anesthesia work covers a wide range: general, regional and nerve block anesthesia, spinal and epidural techniques, obstetrical cases, adult and pediatric patients, ventilation and hemodynamic management, and central and arterial line placement. Experience with regional blocks and ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia is preferred, and pediatric dental anesthesia is a plus but not required.
Candidates need CRNA certification, Board Certification, and at least one year of practice after training. An active New Mexico license is required, though reactivating an existing license is acceptable. Current ACLS, BLS and PALS credentials are expected, and the provider should be comfortable working independently and able to document prior regional anesthesia experience.
Temporary privileges may be granted, and malpractice coverage is included. Credentialing typically takes about 90 days. The recruiting firm states that further details on start date, shift pattern, procedures and patient volume are available on request.
