Scheduling is flexible: providers may take weekend shifts on Saturdays and Sundays lasting 8 or 12 hours, or daytime shifts of three non-consecutive 12-hour days, either Monday, Thursday and Friday or Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
The role centers on providing medical direction and managing a varied mix of demanding acute cases in an inpatient setting, with 2 to 5 patients per day. The anesthesia work spans many procedure types, including orthopedic, vascular, head and spine, neuro, obstetric, pediatric, thoracic, gynecologic, cystoscopic, general surgery, lung, endocrine, and neuro spine cases, with cardiac cases available on an optional basis. The provider would also take part in Code Stroke responses and electrophysiology cases.
Required credentials include CRNA certification along with ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ABLS. The team uses Epic for electronic records, and the staffing mix is described as 28 RNs and 7 medical assistants.
Listed benefits include competitive pay, coverage of travel-related expenses, and A-rated medical malpractice insurance.
