This opening is in western Maryland at a busy independent, not-for-profit hospital whose anesthesia practice is a not-for-profit subsidiary of the hospital. The practice is looking for a CRNA who can handle a broad range of general surgery cases.
The operating room is equipped with state-of-the-art emergency gear, including a malignant hyperthermia cart and a GlideScope. Call is shared at a rate of one in five surgical call shifts.
The hospital is designated as both a HPSA and an MUA, which may make the position eligible for HRSA loan repayment. A loan forgiveness program is also available, and relocation assistance is offered.
The setting is rural and scenic. A winter ski resort nearby brings orthopedic patients to the hospital, and summer visitors to the nearby lake add to the area's appeal.
Pay is competitive and tied to MGMA survey data. A 1099 independent contractor arrangement is preferred. Candidates must hold a Maryland license.
