Full details
A locum CRNA assignment is available just outside Anchorage, Alaska, for an experienced nurse anesthetist who wants to broaden their practice across both inpatient and outpatient cases. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with no call, and the setting is a Level IV trauma facility that uses paper charting.
The start date is September 1, 2025, though credentialing is estimated to take 45 days. The term runs through December 2025, with a realistic possibility of extension.
Expected work covers general anesthesia, regional blocks, epidurals, and spinal anesthesia across obstetrics, orthopedics, gynecology, thoracic, and pediatric cases. The role also calls for placing central and arterial lines and managing airways. Cardiac and complex vascular procedures are excluded.
Pay is quoted as an hourly range of $215 to $260, which is negotiable and depends on availability and the length of the commitment. Travel, lodging, and either a rental car or mileage are reimbursed, and an all-inclusive rate can be requested. Contractors receive malpractice coverage and credentialing help, and may optionally join the Independent Contractors Benefits Association for group health and retirement plans.
The Anchorage area sits at the edge of the Chugach Mountains and Cook Inlet, offering hiking, salmon fishing, glacier tours, and aurora viewing during time off, while still providing urban conveniences.
