Full details

A locum tenens CRNA position in Northeast Missouri is open for an experienced independent practitioner, with a start in 2026. The assignment is inpatient and carries a high degree of autonomy, suiting a provider who is comfortable with paper charting and a broad range of anesthetic techniques. The role requires working without anesthesiologist supervision and performing regional blocks.

Day shifts are scheduled, with potential back-up call. The engagement is ongoing and begins as soon as credentialing is complete, which is expected to take about 90 days. The location is the greater Kirksville, Missouri area.

The case mix spans general, neuro (head and spine), trauma, thoracic, orthopedic, vascular, pediatric, and pain procedures. Required skills include spinal and epidural anesthesia, ventilation management, central and arterial line and pulmonary artery catheter placement, post-operative pain blocks, and transforaminal injections. Open heart and obstetric cases are excluded.

Candidates need NBCRNA certification, a full Missouri license only, and an active CSR at the time of submission. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required, and a clean background is expected. Two or more years of independent CRNA practice are highly preferred.

Pay is quoted at a competitive rate based on experience and shift volume, within a stated range of $240 to $250 or more per hour. Travel and lodging are negotiable.
