Full details

A trauma-designated hospital in the Greater Denver area, Colorado, is looking for locum CRNA coverage through August 2025 to fill short-term scheduling gaps across two campuses. The work is daytime, hospital-based, and carries no call, in a CRNA-supervised model of 4:1 with physician support.

The start date is as soon as credentialing is complete, and shifts of 10, 12, or 14 hours begin at 7 a.m., including some weekends. Shifts are assigned according to need and follow a shift-based, PRN-style pattern. The case mix covers orthopedics, general surgery, urology, neurosurgery, and spine, and MDs perform the blocks.

Required skills include epidural proficiency and ventilation management. Central line and block placement are not required. Candidates should hold NBCRNA certification, an active Colorado license (needed for temporary privileges), ACLS and BLS, and at least two years of CRNA experience including epidurals. A clean background and a completed NPDB self-inquiry are preferred.

Epic EMR training, including modules, virtual training, and EUPA and PPL steps, must be completed before the start. Candidates should be willing to work 6 to 8 shifts per month beginning in June. Credentialing usually takes about 60 days, though emergency temporary privileges are possible, so early submission is encouraged.

Pay is described as competitive and depends on commitment and arrangement. Holiday shifts pay 1.5 times the hourly rate, and orientation is paid after 8 hours at 50% of the standard rate. Hotel and mileage are covered for travel, but air travel is not reimbursed.
