Full details
This locum tenens role for a CRNA is based in New York at a surgical facility partnered with a staffing firm. Scheduling is preferred as five 8-hour shifts, with four 10-hour shifts considered and 12-hour shifts also accepted. Shifts begin at 7:00 AM, ending at 3:30 PM for 8-hour shifts, 5:30 PM for 10-hour shifts, and 7:30 PM for 12-hour shifts.
The work takes place only in pain management or operating room settings and surgery centers. Cases include general surgery, gynecology, bariatric, spine, obstetrics, and orthopedic procedures with blocks, along with a smaller number of neuro, head, and pediatric cases. The supervision ratio is one CRNA to three providers. In-house obstetric call is preferred.
Credentialing carries a 30-day emergency privileging time frame, and the provider must cross-credential at Specialists One Day Surgery Center.
Candidates need current certification or recertification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists, a current registered professional nurse license, and graduation from a nurse anesthesia program accredited by COA or its predecessor.
