This locum tenens assignment in New York suits a CRNA looking for a short-term placement. The role runs at least 13 weeks and sits in a setting of four anesthesia rooms, where MDs supervise CRNAs at a 1:4 ratio. The case mix centers on general and orthopedic procedures.

Shifts are eight-hour daytime blocks, followed by beeper call after the shift, and the provider also covers weeknight and weekend pager on-call duty. Privileging is estimated at 45 days, with temporary privileges available for 30 to 60 days in the interim.

Candidates need a current AANA certification, either initial or renewed through the AANA's own council. They must also hold an active license as a registered professional nurse, including a New York State license that has to be in hand before the start date.
