Full details
A small hospital's anesthesiology department in Oregon is looking for an independent locum CRNA for a contract assignment. The schedule involves 8 to 12 hours per day across 4 days per week, with light call of 1 to 2 calls per 4-day week and 1 to 3 weekend call days per month.
Anesthesia coverage spans general surgery, gynecology, retina, urology, plastic and breast reconstruction, spine and general orthopedics, podiatry, and dental cases. Trauma is rare and mostly involves orthopedic or eye injuries. Cardiac, neuro, and vascular cases are not part of the role.
The position suits someone who is flexible, works well on a team, and is comfortable working alone, particularly on weekend call. There is no ICU coverage on site, and apart from the hospitalist, no internal medicine specialist is available for support. Required certifications are EPIC, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
Work can begin once licensure and credentialing are complete. Temporary privileges are available to candidates holding an Oregon license and a clean background check.
The contract is a 1099 locum tenens arrangement that includes paid expenses, malpractice insurance described as A+ rated, and full-service locum support handled by the recruiting firm.
