Full details

A locum tenens Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist assignment is available in Phoenix, Arizona, lasting 13 weeks. The schedule is four 10-hour shifts, running from 06:30 to 17:00. Candidates should have at least one year of experience working as a CRNA or in an anesthesia setting, though one to two years is listed as preferred.

The CRNA will prepare and give anesthesia and provide patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Other duties include taking part in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, providing trauma stabilization and critical care, and managing acute and chronic pain. The role also calls for keeping up with new anesthesia techniques, equipment, and medications, and maintaining thorough, accurate patient records.

Applicants need an unrestricted RN license valid in the state where the work takes place, with no flags or open investigations. A BSN is required, along with a master's or doctoral degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, with a DNP required beginning in 2025. Certification from the NBCRNA and ongoing continuing medical education to keep that certification and licenses current are also expected.

Successful candidates bring strong clinical skill in delivering anesthesia, sound judgment under pressure, and clear communication with surgical teams. Attention to detail and the ability to adjust to shifting patient conditions are valued traits.

Benefits described include placements at leading hospitals and health systems across varied care settings, competitive and transparent pay, travel and lodging coverage, malpractice coverage with risk management support, and help with applications, licensing, and credentialing. Timekeeping and document handling are streamlined, and additional benefits may be offered where law requires.
