UPMC Hamot is seeking a per diem Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to practice at the medical center in Erie, Pennsylvania. The hospital is a regional tertiary-care facility and referral hub that also serves as a Level II trauma center, with more than 400 beds and a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services.

The assignment covers cases in orthopedics, neurosurgery, general surgery, transplant, and obstetrics and gynecology. The role involves providing full anesthesia care across these procedures, completing pre-anesthesia evaluations, obtaining informed consent, and working with patients to build and review anesthetic plans. The CRNA manages induction, maintenance, and emergence, and monitors each patient's physiological status, intervening as needed. The position also contributes to departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Candidates need a current license as a registered professional nurse, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and current certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists. The schedule is built around five-day shifts, and the pay is listed at $175 per hour.
