This locum tenens position in Jackson, Michigan is based in a hospital designated as a Level II Trauma Center. The schedule is four 10-hour shifts per week, and the role is stated to have no on-call duties, with shifts strictly scheduled.

The CRNA would provide anesthesia for general surgery in both adult and pediatric patients, along with neurosurgical cases that require careful management of neurological status before and after the procedure. Spinal and local infiltration anesthesia are performed as the surgery requires. Responsibilities also include managing ventilation, monitoring respiratory status, and responding to emergencies with airway management, including intubation when needed.

Care is delivered under direct supervision in a collaborative setting alongside anesthesiologists and surgical teams. Patient monitoring covers the full perioperative period, from pre-op through intra-op to post-op. The practice expects about 50 surgical cases daily, with the provider rotating among multiple operating rooms based on need.

All documentation and anesthesia records are kept in Epic EMR, and the provider must follow hospital policies, procedural protocols, and safety standards.
