Full details
The facility is a busy Level II trauma center in the Shenandoah Valley, and the position is a PRN role covering a 90 mile radius. The schedule calls for four to six 10 hour shifts per month.
The caseload is heavy in vascular, thoracic, neurosurgical, and EP lab procedures. Other surgical disciplines are also covered, with breast-focused plastic cases among them. Spinal anesthesia is a required skill, while labor epidurals are not currently expected of CRNAs.
The system also runs a busy ambulatory surgery center that handles healthy pediatric dental work, select ENT procedures, adult ophthalmology, and a range of general surgery, orthopedic, urology, and plastic surgery cases.
The practice follows a care team model with medical direction, and CRNAs work side by side with physicians. The setting gives the provider the chance to keep skills sharp across many different case types.
