Full details
A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist is sought for an ongoing 120-day assignment in Louisiana. The rotational schedule covers shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours and calls for comprehensive anesthesia care across a wide range of cases.
The anesthetist would work independently across general, adult, pediatric, trauma, spinal, epidural, regional, obstetrical, and neurosurgical cases, with two anesthesiologists available to help with pre-operative assessments and any medical needs that arise. Duties include performing epidural and spinal anesthesia, administering general anesthesia, and providing regional anesthesia for surgical procedures.
The setting is inpatient, with in-house call. Patient loads run three to four per day, or ten to twelve for endoscopy cases, depending on the shift worked. The practice model is staffed by two anesthesiologists.
Required certifications include Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support, and CRNA certification, with board certification listed in anesthesiology. Experience with Epic EMR is noted.
