Full details
A locum tenens position for certified registered nurse anesthetists is available in coastal Virginia, with several openings being filled. The role runs from January 1 through May 31, 2026, and is based in a hospital surgical unit with a high-acuity caseload.
Shifts are 8, 10, or 12 hours long, and the provider must be open to weeknight and or weekend call. The practice uses a supervision model with two to three CRNAs assigned to each anesthesiologist. The case mix spans adult and healthy pediatric patients, obstetric cases, spinal and regional blocks, orthopedic, neurosurgical (cranial and spinal), and vascular procedures, along with ventilator management and placement of arterial and central lines. Candidates should be comfortable across the full range of cases; CRNAs do not perform spinal or epidural placement. The facility uses the EPIC electronic medical record.
Requirements include current CRNA certification and an active Virginia license. The recruiting firm offers assistance with credentialing and licensing, malpractice coverage is included, and compensation is described as competitive, with paid travel and housing provided.
