Full details

A full-time CRNA position is open at Banner Churchill Community Hospital in Fallon, Nevada, a critical access hospital with 25 licensed beds serving Churchill County and the surrounding rural region of western Nevada. The compensation is listed as $330,000 per year including call, plus a $20,000 yearly quality bonus tied to defined metrics. Benefits include 13 weeks of paid time off annually, CME reimbursement, fully covered employee premiums for health, dental and vision, a 401(k), and relocation assistance. Professional liability coverage is provided.

The hospital's case load is about 1,800 cases a year and generally excludes cardiac, vascular, spine and head procedures. Typical cases include general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, endoscopy, eye, ENT and healthy pediatric patients, with roughly 30 deliveries a month. The schedule runs three weeks on and one week off, totaling 39 weeks a year, with daytime hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and a call rotation of one in four.

The CRNA's duties include pre-anesthetic assessment and documentation, ordering pre-anesthetic medications and fluids, obtaining informed consent, managing airways, overseeing emergence and recovery, discharging patients from the post-anesthesia area, and providing follow-up care for anesthesia-related complications. The role also includes emergency response using advanced or basic cardiac life support, developing continuity-of-care standards, and staying compliant with American Association of Nurse Anesthetists guidance and local, state and federal rules. The CRNA is expected to work collaboratively with colleagues and attend meetings as needed.

Candidates need ACLS, BLS and PALS certification. The practice is run by LifeLinc Anesthesia, a national anesthesia management provider that offers an in-house academy for continuing education and a clinical leadership program for its providers.
