A client in Pennsylvania is looking for an anesthetist for a 90-day assignment with flexible shifts of 10 or 12 hours. The provider would manage anesthesia across a broad case mix, including general, orthopedic, trauma, neurosurgical, and pediatric patients, and would oversee care through the perioperative and procedural phases.

Duties include providing anesthesia for plastics, endoscopy, NORA, robotic, gynecologic, and ENT cases, as well as pediatric patients aged five and older. Cardiac, obstetric, and nerve-block cases are excluded. The role also covers pre-anesthetic evaluations, histories and physicals, informed consent, post-operative assessments, and the development of anesthetic plans.

Techniques listed include general, regional, epidural, and spinal anesthesia, IV regional blocks, and monitored anesthesia care. The provider would also place invasive monitoring lines such as CVP/CVC, pulmonary artery catheters, and intra-arterial lines, and would manage airways.

Candidates should hold board certification in anesthesiology and current ACLS, BLS, and PALS credentials. Experience with the Cerner electronic medical record is part of the setting. The posting describes the work as outpatient, clinic-only.
