Full details
Ambulatory Anesthesia Care is recruiting CRNAs for its Texas practice, which provides anesthesia to outpatient surgical facilities, procedure rooms in physician offices, and some acute care hospitals. The group operates in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Houston, El Paso, Corpus Christi and Austin, and covers cases in orthopedics, gynecology, ENT, gastroenterology, general surgery, spine, pain management, podiatry, urology and dental procedures for both pediatric and adult patients.
The schedule is built to avoid hospital-style on-call duty. Providers are released once the day's cases finish, late-day coverage generally wraps up before 6 PM, and nights are not required. Weekend elective Saturday cases are staffed by volunteers who receive extra pay. Obstetrics, cardiothoracic, trauma and neonatal anesthesia are excluded from the practice. Hours typically total 35 to 45 per week, varying with the season.
Flexibility is supported by credentialing at several facilities, which allows early-release requests and individualized schedules. Professional development includes management roles and sponsored training, such as ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia courses for qualified providers.
Full-time and PRN positions are both offered. Malpractice coverage is supplied by the group, with tail coverage also available. Medical, dental and vision insurance can be purchased, a retirement plan is offered, and disability and life insurance are available as add-ons. Paid time away begins at more than six weeks a year and includes federal holidays when the sites are closed.
Candidates should hold NBCRNA certification or be eligible for it, be comfortable working at a fast pace in outpatient settings, and have dependable transportation. Travel to several client sites is expected, though rarely more than one site in a day. Providers willing to work at the group's other Texas locations, or who hold licenses in Illinois, Oregon or Washington, may be matched to additional openings. Interested applicants can send a CV or arrange a visit with the team.
