Full details
This El Paso opening is for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with Ambulatory Anesthesia Care, a Texas group that supplies anesthesia providers to ambulatory surgery centers, office-based anesthesia sites and acute care surgical hospitals. The practice covers orthopedics, gynecology, ENT, gastroenterology, general surgery, spine, pain management, podiatry, urology and both pediatric and adult dental cases. Cases are limited to a low-stress caseload, with no obstetrics, cardiothoracic, trauma or neonatal work.
The schedule is built to avoid overnight call, and providers are released once the day's cases are finished. Late-day coverage rarely runs past 6 PM, and weekends are not part of the regular rotation; elective Saturday cases are staffed by volunteers who receive extra pay. Hours typically total 35 to 45 per week, varying with the season, and the group offers early-out requests and personalized schedules through credentialing at several facilities.
Full-time and PRN positions are both available. Malpractice coverage is provided by the group, with tail coverage also available. Medical, dental and vision insurance can be elected, a retirement plan is offered, and disability and life insurance are available as add-ons. Time away starts at more than six weeks per year and includes federal holidays when the sites are closed.
Candidates need NBCRNA board certification or eligibility, a preference for fast-paced ambulatory work, and reliable transportation, since the role involves travel to several client sites, though rarely more than one in a day. Providers willing to work at the group's other Texas locations may be considered for additional openings, and candidates licensed in Illinois, Oregon or Washington are also being sought for further opportunities. Interested applicants can arrange a site visit to meet the team.
