Full details
A locum tenens certified registered nurse anesthetist role is available at a hospital surgical unit in Southeast Virginia, running from January through May 2026. The position follows a supervision model in which each anesthesiologist oversees a small group of CRNAs, and the work spans a wide mix of adult and healthy pediatric cases, obstetric spinals, regional blocks, orthopedics, neurosurgical procedures involving the head and spine, and vascular surgery.
Responsibilities include ventilator management and placement of arterial and central lines. Candidates should be comfortable with the full range of cases, keeping in mind that CRNAs do not perform spinal or epidural placements. Charting is done in EPIC.
Scheduling is flexible, and weeknight and/or weekend call is expected. A current CRNA certification and a Virginia license are required.
Benefits described for this opportunity include malpractice coverage, assistance with credentialing and licensing, competitive pay, and paid travel and housing.
