Full details

A full-time, board-certified CRNA is sought to take on a Chief CRNA role at Jackson North Medical Center, a 382-bed acute care hospital in North Miami Beach, Florida. The hospital is part of the Jackson Health System and serves residents of north Miami-Dade and south Broward counties, with services that include 24/7 emergency care, cardiology, neurology, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, orthopedics, gastroenterology and general surgery.

The anesthesia department includes seven physicians, eight OR CRNAs and five OB CRNAs. The caseload is roughly 8,000 cases a year and spans general, orthopedic, GI, GYN, robotic, urology, neuro, OB and healthy outpatient pediatric patients over two years old, with no cardiac or trauma cases. Coverage covers six ORs plus offsite areas such as the cath lab and GI suite.

The position carries no weekend work and no call. Vacation totals eight to nine weeks, along with six company-paid holidays separate from PTO. Main OR and OB teams work different shift patterns, and stipends are paid for OB and nighthawk coverage.

Chief CRNA duties include overseeing scheduling and staffing, helping with recruiting such as interviews and recruiting events, serving as the liaison to hospital leadership, and acting as a clinical resource for the department and hospital. The role also involves taking part in leadership and professional development, helping the Chief Anesthesiologist with performance reviews, and overseeing orientation for new hires.

Compensation includes a start date bonus of $150K, competitive salaries with a site-specific financial modifier for OB and pediatrics, retention and loyalty bonuses, and a $3000 CME allowance for anesthesia-related expenses. Malpractice insurance is 100% company paid, including tail coverage, and benefits are available from day one with no waiting period.
