The schedule is 8-hour days, 07:00 to 15:00. A locum CRNA is needed in Oklahoma to cover a client site as soon as the provider is credentialed, with ongoing need expected while the client recruits permanently. Credentialing typically takes 60 to 90 days. Required credentials include an active Oklahoma license, ACLS, BLS, PALS and DEA registration, with AHA ACLS and PALS specifically required.

The caseload is roughly 3,800 cases a year and is mostly endoscopy, orthopedics (including joint replacements and spine), pediatric dental and obstetrics. Last year the obstetric service handled 415 deliveries, 160 of them cesarean, with no VBAC cases. General surgery, urology, pain management, gynecology, ENT and podiatry cases are also performed, and growth in obstetric and general surgery volume is anticipated. The site runs four operating rooms with four providers (MD, CRNA or APP) per day and uses Meditech as its EMR.

Working without supervision, the CRNA takes call on a rotation of every fourth night and every fifth weekend. Commitment is 2-week blocks per month. Pay is hourly and described as competitive, malpractice insurance is covered, and travel and lodging are paid. The recruiting firm also offers a referral bonus, which is not part of the role itself.
