Full details
The position is a hospital-based CRNA role in Illinois, covering a wide range of surgical procedures. The schedule is day shifts as set by the site, with coverage spread across two campuses and some variation in shifts. On-call duty in the operating room may be required with MD backup, and the posted response time is 20 minutes. The practice is described as a medically supervised model.
Clinical work spans pediatrics, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, ophthalmology, ENT, plastics, and podiatry. Depending on the campus, cases may also include cardiac, endoscopy, vascular, gynecology, and pain management. Applicants must show strong regional anesthesia block skills, and proficiency in spinals and epidurals is required. Case logs documenting epidurals, spinals, and blocks are mandatory, and only privileged CRNAs are considered.
Candidates need an active Illinois license and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification through AHA where the site requires it. Recent clinical practice is a qualifying factor, specifically a minimum of two years of hands-on work during the last five years. Credentialing time depends on the site and how complete the provider's file is. The EMR system used is Epic.
Benefits include malpractice insurance, weekly electronic pay, and a referral bonus program. Travel and lodging assistance may be offered.
