Full details
This opening seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH), a physician-led organization providing tertiary care through community hospitals in Flagstaff, Sedona, Cottonwood and across northern Arizona. The health system runs two hospitals with 269 beds in Flagstaff and 99 beds in Cottonwood, and it employs more than 200 providers. Its services include outpatient surgical centers, a cardiovascular institute, an orthopedic and spine institute, rehabilitation and sports medicine, cancer centers and a growing primary care base, with a new hospital and a Health and Wellness Village in planning.
The communities served sit in the San Francisco Peaks region, where residents enjoy four seasons of outdoor recreation such as hiking, skiing, biking and fishing, along with local arts, dining and wineries. Sedona and Cottonwood sit above the desert heat and below Arizona's high country, offering mild seasons and abundant sunshine. Phoenix and Las Vegas are within reach for weekend trips.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a master's degree in nursing, plus post-master's certification from a COA-accredited nurse anesthesia program. Candidates need an unrestricted Arizona RN license and an Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse prescribing license in the applicable category. Certification from the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists, or recertification through the Council on Recertification, is required, as is current BLS and ACLS. For this Flagstaff Medical Center opening, PALS is also required. Working knowledge of computers and common software is expected, since electronic systems are used throughout the organization.
