Full details

This Anesthesia Advanced Practice Provider role, open to either a CRNA or an Anesthesiologist Assistant, makes up part of the anesthesia care team and works under the medical direction of anesthesiologists. The provider gives safe, high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia care to patients of every acuity level across surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic and therapeutic settings.

The position comes with competitive pay, a sign-on bonus and a full benefits package, and a student stipend is also available on request. Scheduling options are available in several formats, and the employer will set out the specifics for each.

Day-to-day work involves operating and interpreting data from a wide range of anesthesia and perioperative equipment, communicating clearly with nurses, surgeons and other clinicians, and following facility policies. The provider also supports timely patient care and smooth operating room flow, and applies knowledge of infection control and growth and development across the lifespan to each patient's needs.

Qualifications include graduation from a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs for CRNAs, or a Master's in anesthesia from an accredited program for Anesthesiologist Assistants. New graduates are welcome, and applicants at every experience level are encouraged to apply.

Candidates need a current Georgia license, or must be eligible and willing to obtain one, along with certification from the NBCRNA for CRNAs or from the NCCAA for Anesthesiologist Assistants. Basic Life Support certification is also required. The employer is Piedmont Medical Care Corporation.
