MUSC Community Physicians is recruiting Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists for a PRN position with its Marion anesthesia practice in the Pee Dee Region of South Carolina. The CRNA would work alongside an established anesthesia care team of experienced CRNAs and board-certified anesthesiologists, covering a varied caseload across MUSC Health sites in Marion, Black River, and Florence.

The position is hourly, categorized under pay grade Health-36, and is scheduled for 4 hours per week. Candidates should have experience with major vascular, minimal pediatric, neuro, regional, and orthopedic anesthesia, along with outpatient surgical anesthesia.

Required education is graduation from a Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs-approved program. For those hired after March 1, 2019, a master's degree or higher in nurse anesthesia is the minimum. The provider must be insurable by MUSC's medical malpractice carrier at the required limits.

Licensing requires recognition as an APRN, or eligibility for one, plus a current license or eligibility to practice in South Carolina. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS credentials are also required, issued through the American Heart Association for healthcare providers or the American Red Cross CPR/AED course for professional rescuers and healthcare providers.

MUSC Health Marion Medical Center is a 124-bed acute care hospital offering inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, medical, surgical, and emergency services, and it is Joint Commission accredited. The facility also includes Mullins Nursing Center, a 92-bed long-term care unit. MUSC Health Florence Medical Center, with 396 beds, serves northeastern South Carolina, and the new MUSC Health Black River Medical Center includes 25 inpatient beds and two operating rooms.
