MUSC Health - Orangeburg is recruiting a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join a expanding practice in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The provider would work alongside an established Anesthesia Care Team that includes experienced CRNAs and board-certified anesthesiologists.

The caseload is broad and would require experience delivering general, neuraxial, regional, and monitored anesthesia care to patients spanning pediatric through geriatric ages. Service lines named include general surgery, robotic-assisted procedures, major vascular, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, urology, ophthalmology, podiatry, and endoscopy.

Applicants must hold current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications and must be COVID-19 vaccinated. Eligibility requires graduation from a Council on Accreditation nurse anesthesia program, certification or recertification through the National Board on Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists, and an APRN recognition or eligibility with a South Carolina license or the ability to obtain one. Hires after March 1, 2019 need a master's degree or higher in nurse anesthesia.

The package features a $50,000 commencement bonus, a $15,000 site incentive, and extra pay for call. Overtime is paid beyond the standard weekly hour threshold, and malpractice coverage is provided. Time off includes 7 weeks of PTO that rises to 8 weeks in the third year, plus a $2,500 CME allowance, in-house call accommodations, and use of the Epic EMR.

The position is a regular employee role with pay offered hourly or by salary, under MUSC Community Physicians within the Orangeburg anesthesiology cost center. Orangeburg sits on the Edisto River in South Carolina's Midlands and offers lakes, golf, state park recreation, and a rose garden, with Columbia and Charleston airports within driving distance.
