It covers several advanced specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, podiatry, OBGYN, pain medicine, and eye procedures, and provides services for more than 2,900 cases each year. Four well-equipped operating rooms, including an endoscopy suite, support this work. The team has three CRNAs who share call responsibilities. The facility is a Level IV trauma center and critical access hospital serving Northwest Minnesota, and the employer describes it as a strong environment for both new and experienced clinicians.
Candidates need a Bachelor of Science degree from an approved, accredited advanced practice nursing program, and a master's degree, Doctor of Nursing Practice, or PhD is preferred. A current, unencumbered CRNA license from the state Board of Nursing is required, along with any multi-state privileges the position calls for. CRNA certification through the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists must be held and maintained. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is preferred, and the role also requires obtaining and keeping current department-specific competencies and certifications.
