Full details

This locum tenens assignment in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan pays $265 per hour, with travel reimbursed, and $295 per hour for call-back, overtime and holiday work. Call is required: one weekend per month plus one to two weekday calls.

Most cases are outpatient procedures, both surgical and endoscopic, with a steady base of orthopedics, endoscopy, general surgery, urology and ENT. Some obstetrics work is included, such as labor epidurals and cesarean sections. Providers taking the OB portion must be able to perform labor epidurals and spinals.

The practice model is a mix of independent and collaborative practice. Shifts are either five 8-hour days or four 10-hour days. Credentialing takes about 30 days.

Candidates should have experience with spinal and epidural anesthesia as well as venous and arterial catheter placement. New graduates are welcome to apply.
