Full details
This locum tenens position is a float assignment spread across three sites in Central Michigan. The contract pays $265 per hour with travel reimbursed, and call-back, overtime and holiday work is paid at $295 per hour with a one-hour response time. The schedule runs two weeks on, including weekend coverage, followed by two weeks off. Shifts are offered as 5x8s or 4 or 5x10s.
The practice model is independent. Call is 1:3, with one to two holidays per year, and call rates are available. The case mix includes endoscopy, bread-and-butter anesthesia, cataracts, podiatry, orthopedics, vascular, and cardiology cases such as TEEs and cardioversions. The role also covers Emergency Department needs, including IV and airway access and provider support.
New graduates are welcome, and the employer will teach or refresh regional anesthesia skills.
