Full details
The role is open to Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAAs) who want to join an established, cooperative anesthesia group that gives providers considerable independence, a varied caseload, and adjustable scheduling. The hospital is a newer acute care facility in Powell, Tennessee, built to improve both the patient experience and the way providers work.
Compensation is listed as a salary between $240K and $250K for call-taking positions, along with a $75K sign-on incentive that can be structured in several ways. Additional income opportunities are also available. The employer's benefits package covers medical, life, eye, and tooth coverage, plus disability and accidental death and dismemberment protection, generous time off, flexible spending and health savings accounts, and fully paid malpractice coverage. Help with loan repayment and training costs is also offered.
Cases are concentrated in orthopedics, general surgery, adult ENT, and gastrointestinal procedures, and the schedule can be adapted to the provider's needs.
Day-to-day duties include delivering full anesthesia care across a range of operations, completing pre-anesthesia assessments and securing informed consent, working out anesthetic plans with patients, directing induction, maintenance, and recovery from anesthesia, and watching patients' physiological status while intervening when necessary. The position also contributes to departmental coordination and clinical leadership.
Applicants need a current registered nurse license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and certification or recertification through the AANA's Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
