Full details

This part-time, as-needed CRNA role in Marinette is in the Anesthesiology group of the Advocate Health system. The schedule runs weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with no call, weekends, or holidays. The position is not benefits eligible, and the posted hours per week are listed as 0. The pay range is $97.75 to $156.40.

The CRNA provides the full span of anesthesia care, from pre-anesthesia evaluation through the post-anesthesia period. This covers general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care, carried out in line with the anesthesia plan and alongside the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and surgical team. Duties include reviewing and obtaining informed consent, ordering and giving pre-medications, requesting or reviewing preoperative studies, and making sure equipment, supplies, and medications are ready before each case. During the case the CRNA selects and gives anesthetics, adjuvants, fluids, and temperature-regulating devices, and manages induction, maintenance, life support, and emergence.

After surgery, the CRNA stays with the patient until care is safely handed off, gives post-operative epidural and other analgesia with the surgeon, and follows up on any anesthesia-related complications. In emergencies the CRNA assesses and stabilizes patients, decides on disposition, manages the airway, gives emergency drugs and fluids, and applies basic and advanced cardiac life support. Charting in the electronic medical record and compliant coding and billing are also part of the role.

Other expectations include taking part in quality, safety, and peer review work, departmental meetings and committees, and onboarding or teaching of new staff, students, and other clinicians. The role also calls for meeting productivity, access, face-time, and quality targets, and for knowledge of care across all patient ages.

Candidates need an active RN license and an APRN or equivalent advanced practice license in the state of practice, plus active NBCRNA certification as a CRNA. An active DEA registration is required before hire, and an Illinois controlled substance license is needed for Illinois practice. ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required as the site or role demands, within six months of hire. A master's degree in nursing is required, and no prior experience is needed. Strong clinical judgment, independent and team-based work, adaptability with technology, communication, and organization skills are expected.

The job involves frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and twisting, along with lifting, pushing, and pulling patients and equipment, including a sliding transfer of 150 pounds with a second person. Staff use foot pedals on carts and machines and face mechanical, electrical, chemical, radiation, and body-fluid hazards on a continuous basis, wearing gloves, goggles, and gowns as needed. Functional vision and hearing are required.

Total rewards include base pay within the posted range based on qualifications and experience, shift or on-call premium pay where applicable, and possible incentive pay and annual performance increases. Benefits described for the system include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage, paid time off, flexible spending accounts, family benefits, retirement plans with employer match, and educational assistance.
