Full details
Advocate Health is recruiting PRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to join the Anesthesiology Team at Aurora Medical Center in Manitowoc County, located in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. The role is set within a CRNA-led team that follows a collaborative care model, with work centered on adult patients in both elective and emergency surgical cases. Shifts run Monday through Friday and may be 8, 10, or 12 hours long, and call is shared equally among all anesthesia providers on weekdays and weekends. The posting lists a pay range of $175.00 to $175.00 and notes that competitive compensation is offered.
Duties include general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care, covering induction, maintenance, airway support, careful recording of events, and management of abnormal responses. Providers also complete pre-anesthesia checks, such as confirming the physician's pre-anesthetic exam, reviewing test results, and verifying equipment readiness. After a case, the CRNA stays with the patient until care can safely transfer, advises recovery staff, and may give post-operative epidural or other analgesia alongside the surgeon. Additional responsibilities include narcotic accounting, responding to Code Blue and respiratory emergencies, helping with difficult IV starts when requested, and providing labor analgesia in the Birth Day Center.
Candidates need a Registered Nurse license, CRNA certification from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, a Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber license, and a DEA registration. PALS and ACLS certifications are required within six months unless the department leader waives them, and NRP certification is accepted in place of ACLS under the same timeline. A Master's degree in Nursing is required, and no prior experience is needed. Aurora Medical Center offers 24/7 emergency care, advanced surgical suites, and programs in orthopedics, cardiology, and cancer care. Two Rivers sits on the western shore of Lake Michigan near Manitowoc, with beaches, trails, and museums nearby.
Total rewards include base pay within the posted range, premium pay for shifts and on-call work, possible performance-based raises, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, paid parental leave, retirement plans with employer match, and an educational assistance program. Eligibility for some benefits depends on the FTE or status of the position, so details can be confirmed with a recruiter during interviews.
