Full details

Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan, Wisconsin is seeking a full-time CRNA to join its Anesthesiology Team. The role is a 40-hour-per-week, benefits-eligible position, with weekday shifts running Monday through Friday in either 8- or 10-hour blocks. Call is limited to zero to two times per month, with five to eight weekends a year and at most one holiday annually.

The CRNA works within a team led by CRNAs and uses a collaborative care model. Duties include pre-anesthesia assessments, building individualized anesthesia care plans, and delivering anesthesia across a range of surgical and procedural settings for adult patients, both elective and emergency. The clinician also monitors patients through the perioperative period, coordinates with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nursing and procedural staff, takes part in post-anesthesia evaluation and recovery planning, and keeps clinical documentation current.

The anesthesia group includes four physicians and 13 CRNAs and is described as stable, with low staff turnover. Mentorship and leadership opportunities are available within the practice.

Candidates need an active RN license, an APRN credential (including APRN-FPA or APNP) or equivalent in the state of practice, and active certification as a CRNA from the NBCRNA, plus an active DEA registration before hire. ACLS, PALS and NRP are required as the site or role dictates, to be completed before or within six months of hiring. A master's degree in nursing is required. Experienced CRNAs and new graduates are both welcome to apply.

Compensation is listed as a pay range of $99.75 to $159.60, with a stated competitive benefits figure of $121 to $159 per hour, or $251,680 to 330,720 in salary. Additional offerings include a sign-on bonus of up to $100,000, a forgivable loan option, covered licensure and certification costs, CME reimbursement of $2,250 per year plus 40 hours of CME time, malpractice insurance, extra shift bonuses of $75 to $100 per hour, and 30 days of PTO that increases with service. The practice has no non-compete, and locum work at non-Advocate Health sites is permitted.

The hospital opened in 2022 and includes advanced technology and a broad range of services. Sheboygan sits on the western shore of Lake Michigan and offers beaches, an arts scene, outdoor recreation and affordable housing.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, family leave support, a defined contribution retirement plan with employer match, and an educational assistance program. Eligibility for some programs depends on the position's FTE and status.
