Full details
A hospital in southeast Kansas is seeking a CRNA for a position with a three-year employed income guarantee of $170,000 to $200,000, depending on experience. The package also includes a signing bonus of $2,500 to $5,000, relocation assistance up to $10,000, and 20 days of paid time off plus 6 holidays.
The call schedule is 1:4, meaning one weekday per week and one weekend per month, covering Friday through Sunday. A provider who worked the prior night still reports the next day, but may be sent home if not needed, and is the first released when staffing allows. There is no second call.
The facility is a 109-bed acute care hospital serving a primary and secondary service area of over 160,000 people. Its surgery department is being renovated as part of a $32 million project that will yield 4 OR suites, 2 procedure rooms, and 13 private pre- and post-surgery rooms, along with private consultation rooms, a physician lounge, and a bay area for transfusions.
The anesthesia work centers on basic cases, with no cardiac or neuro-head procedures, and includes da Vinci robotic surgery. The hospital averages 340 surgeries and 230 deliveries per year. Candidates must be able to perform epidurals and regional blocks including intrascalene, fascia iliaca, and adductor canal blocks. The surgical practice is supported by orthopedics, general surgery, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, ENT, and urology.
The city began as a railroad town and remains a transportation hub on the Union Pacific line and several US highways. It sits between Kansas City, Tulsa, and Wichita, offers a school system, a community college, two museums, and a park system, and has a local economy built on transportation, agriculture, light industry, services, and distribution. Outdoor recreation such as fishing, hunting, golf, water sports, and biking is nearby, and the community features a renovated downtown area.
