This CRNA position is part of a brand-new start-up program within NorthStar Anesthesia at the Mid-America Surgery Institute, an accredited surgery center in Overland Park, Kansas. The site is affiliated with Menorah Medical Center and is part of the HCA system, and it is scheduled to open in March 2026. The role offers the chance to join an established collaborative anesthesia team from the first day and to help build the new program.

The anesthesia model at the center includes one MD anesthesiologist and seven CRNAs, with six operating rooms in daily use. Four rooms operate under medical direction and two are CRNA-only. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday in a surgery center setting, with typical clinical hours of 40 per week under a waterfall system. The schedule excludes nights, call and weekends.

Cases are primarily outpatient and span endoscopy, ENT, general surgery, gynecology, neurology, total joint, orthopedics, GI, podiatry and urology.

Compensation includes a base salary of $240,000 and a sign-on bonus of $20,000 per year, paid over three years. The package also provides seven weeks of paid time off each year, a 401K match and other standard benefits.

NorthStar Anesthesia, which was founded by an anesthesiologist and a CRNA, works with more than 280 health care client sites and emphasizes a care team approach aimed at high-quality patient care and better operating room performance.
