This locum tenens CRNA role in Alaska runs on a weekday day schedule, Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with evening and weekend call. Call is currently two days on and two days off, though this may change depending on the availability of other providers.
The anesthesia caseload covers general surgery, endoscopies, total joint and arthroscopic procedures, peripheral nerve blocks, urology, ENT, gynecology, cesarean sections, pediatric cases including dental, ENT and orthopedic work, and labor epidurals. Applicants must have clinical activity within the past 24 months, documented in case logs.
The provider would not work alone. Anesthesia coverage is shared with general surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, OB/GYN, hospitalists and emergency medicine physicians.
Candidates need an active Alaska license in hand at the time of presentation. Required credentials include ACLS and EMR training, with certifications issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross as applicable, and proficiency in the EPIC electronic record system.
