Full details
A locum tenens opportunity for experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists is available with a health system in southeast Wisconsin, with sites in communities such as Kenosha, Burlington, Elkhorn, and Mount Pleasant. The assignment is ongoing through at least 6/25/2026, with a start as soon as possible, and the outpatient practice setting does not require inpatient work. The electronic medical record is Epic, and the sites lie roughly 30 to 40 minutes from Milwaukee.
Practice models differ by location. The Kenosha site uses an independent CRNA model with a broad case mix that includes orthopedics, spine, gynecology, ENT, GI, and general surgery, with 10-hour shifts and no call, weekends, or holidays. The Burlington and Lakeland site runs an independent practice model with 8 to 10 hour shifts, light call of typically one night per week, and one holiday per year. The Mount Pleasant site follows a medical direction care team model that offers room for autonomy, with bread-and-butter cases such as general surgery, orthopedics, urology, and vascular, and no OB or heavy pediatrics, call, weekends, or holidays.
Compensation is listed at $200 to $250 per hour, depending on location, schedule commitment, and experience. Travel and lodging are covered, and malpractice insurance with an A-rated carrier is provided. Credentialing is expected to take 90 to 120 days.
Candidates should hold ACLS certification and a DEA registration. Comfort with general and regional anesthesia is preferred, along with experience in bread-and-butter cases including ENT, orthopedics, urology, general surgery, and GI. A Wisconsin license is preferred, and applicants who are not yet licensed can ask about the timeline.
