Full details
A major Level I trauma medical center in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a CRNA for a long-term locum assignment with a high-acuity caseload and strong case volume. The practice does not require call, and compensation is offered as competitive 1099 pay.
Full-time availability is needed. Possible schedules combine 12-, 14-, and 16-hour shifts, such as two 14-hour shifts with one 12-hour shift, two 12-hour shifts with one 16-hour shift, two 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. shifts with two 12-hour shifts, or two 16-hour shifts with one 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. shift. Providers who will pair the 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. shift with longer shifts are especially sought after. Coverage is Monday through Friday, the start is as soon as credentialing is complete, and credentialing typically takes about 45 to 60 days, with expedited temporary privileges possibly available.
The case mix spans general orthopedics, plastics, obstetrics, vascular, trauma, head cases, pediatrics, cardiac, and carotid procedures. The team operates under a medically directed care model, generally at a 1:3 supervision ratio.
Applicants should hold NBCRNA certification and an active Pennsylvania RN/CRNA license, with a preference for that license. BLS, ACLS, and a Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance are required, along with at least two years of CRNA experience. Epic experience is preferred, and a willingness to credential at a nearby affiliated location is an advantage.
Benefits include all-inclusive traveler rates or hourly pay with housing, flights, a rental car, or mileage covered, plus malpractice insurance rated A+ and dedicated travel coordination. The recruiter also provides credentialing and onboarding help, the possibility of long-term extensions, and access to independent contractor benefit resources.
Pittsburgh is described as having an affordable cost of living, well-regarded restaurants and neighborhoods, convenient airport access, professional sports, and nearby outdoor recreation across Western Pennsylvania.
