Full details

This locum opening in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan calls for a CRNA to cover a full-time, ongoing schedule of 40 hours per week, with a start as soon as possible. Shifts are typically four 10-hour or five 8-hour days, and five 10-hour days can be considered if the provider prefers them. Room time is set for 0715, and anesthesia staff usually arrive between 0630 and 0645. Days and times may shift based on departmental needs and provider availability.

The role is set in the operating room and includes call duties. Call consists of one weekend per month plus one to two weekdays per week. Work is roughly 85 percent outpatient and 15 percent inpatient. The caseload centers on outpatient surgical and endoscopic procedures, with some obstetric work such as labor epidurals and cesarean sections, and core cases in orthopedics, endoscopy, general surgery, urology, and ENT. The CRNA will sometimes need to practice independently, although the team usually includes three to four providers per day and full support staff, and solo coverage would be uncommon and limited to on-call shifts.

The facility uses EPIC for its electronic medical record. The hospital covers travel costs. Full privileges typically take 30 to 60 days to finish credentialing, and temporary placements are available.

Candidates need an active Michigan license or eligibility through a nursing compact, along with BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NBCRNA certification. At least one year of experience is required.
