The role has target start dates in late August and early September, with the exact date to be confirmed. The schedule is weekday only, Monday through Friday, in five 8-hour shifts. Anesthesia care can be delivered in collaboration with an M.D. anesthesiologist or independently.
The caseload centers on outpatient procedures, both surgical and endoscopic, with a steady base of orthopedic, endoscopy, general surgery, urology, and ENT cases. Some obstetrical work is included, covering labor epidurals and cesarean sections performed under spinal anesthesia. The successful candidate must be comfortable providing obstetric anesthesia for both labor epidurals and cesarean deliveries.
