The role is a 60-day assignment in Pennsylvania for an anesthetist working in the operating room. Days begin with a 7am staff start and involve roughly 40 to 60 cases daily, and shifts may run until 7 to 11pm. The anesthetist works as part of a collaborative care team and performs lines, epidurals, and spinals as needed, which requires prior experience with these procedures.

Coverage spans a broad range of subspecialties, including general surgery, ENT, plastics, ophthalmology, retina, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, and endocrine surgery. Patients are 13 years of age and older. Requirements include board certification in anesthesiology and familiarity with Epic EMR.
