The schedule is 8-hour shifts. The provider typically cares for somewhere between six and fifteen patients a day, moving between rooms as assignments change, and the case mix spans adults and children.

Procedures include orthopedic, gynecologic, eye, endoscopic, ENT, dental and general surgery. The setting is an outpatient environment that includes operating rooms, and the EMR system in use is Epic.

Supervision follows a medical direction ratio of 1:3, with anesthesiologist oversight for regular OR cases. Endoscopy cases may be performed without direct supervision, since an anesthesiologist is always present in the building.

Required credentials are board certification in anesthesiology along with ACLS, BLS and PALS. The package includes competitive pay, coverage of travel-related expenses, A-rated malpractice insurance, and access to a dedicated recruiter for later travel assignments.
