Full details
The position is a CRNA role at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, a 174-bed facility in Danville, Illinois, serving that community and the surrounding region. The hospital belongs to the OSF Health Care network, which is run by the Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis and headquartered in Peoria. Danville sits in eastern Illinois and offers a range of outdoor recreation.
Five CRNAs and four anesthesiologists practice together under a care team model that emphasizes giving every member a voice while supporting one another and pursuing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities include delivering broad anesthesia care across a range of surgical cases, completing preoperative evaluations and securing informed consent, and building anesthetic plans in discussion with patients. The CRNA manages induction, maintenance and emergence, monitors physiological status and intervenes as necessary, and contributes to departmental coordination and clinical leadership.
Case work spans general surgery, obstetrics, healthy pediatric patients and routine bread-and-butter procedures. CRNAs take seven home-based obstetric call shifts per month.
Compensation is listed at a salary of $315K with a $100K sign-on incentive. The benefits package covers health, life, vision, dental, disability and AD&D insurance, flexible spending and health savings accounts, and fully paid malpractice coverage. Loan repayment and training assistance are available, and the posting notes 13 weeks off per year.
Candidates need a current license as a registered professional nurse, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and certification or recertification through the AANA's certification council.
