Full details
This 1099 CRNA position in Savannah, Georgia, is with a team-based anesthesia practice that gives providers a high degree of autonomy. Candler Hospital, founded in 1804, is among the oldest hospitals operating in the country and is affiliated with the Methodist Church. The 384-bed facility provides primary care, outpatient services, and a range of specialty care. St. Joseph's Hospital has served the community since 1934, and its roughly 70 specialties are staffed by highly trained physicians, some with national and international reputations. A newly built six-story tower adds 90 private rooms, a covered drop-off entrance, and ground-floor registration.
The practice has provided anesthesia coverage in Southeast Georgia for over six decades, serving St. Joseph's/Candler Hospitals, Effingham Hospital in Springfield, Georgia, and several ambulatory surgery centers. Its care model emphasizes that every team member has a voice while supporting one another and pursuing excellence in patient care.
Compensation is listed at $175 per hour. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 0700 to 1500, with call and non-call shifts available and other schedules offered as openings arise. Case types include cardiac, general, orthopedic, neurology, GI, vascular, endoscopy, gynecology, pediatric, and radiologic and interventional cardiac procedures. Obstetrics cases are not included.
Responsibilities include delivering comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures, completing pre-anesthesia evaluations, obtaining informed consent, and developing anesthetic plans in discussion with patients. The CRNA manages induction, maintenance, and emergence, monitors physiological status, intervenes as needed, and supports departmental coordination and clinical leadership.
Candidates need a current registered professional nurse license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists. Applicants must supply Articles of Incorporation for either an S corporation or a C corporation and carry their own malpractice coverage at the full state limits.
