Full details

A CRNA position is open at Overlook Medical Center, a 350-bed hospital in Summit, New Jersey, within a busy northern New Jersey practice. The hospital, founded in 1906, offers advanced neurodiagnostic, neurological, and neurosurgical services, and its campus includes a certified Level IV Epilepsy Center, a hub for the New Jersey Stroke Network, the Atlantic Neuroscience Institute, and the Gerald J. Glasser Brain Tumor Center.

The anesthesia group works as a care team in which each CRNA, several holding master's or doctoral degrees, has a voice. Leaders at local and regional levels are described as supportive of mentorship, professional growth, and collaboration.

The role covers the full CRNA scope of practice across surgical cases. Duties include pre-anesthesia evaluations, obtaining informed consent, developing anesthetic plans with patients, managing induction, maintenance, and emergence, monitoring patients and intervening as needed, and supporting departmental coordination and clinical leadership. CRNAs also share the labor and delivery team's work, placing spinal and epidural anesthetics.

Schedules of 8, 10, 12, and 24 hours are available and described as flexible, with options for extra hours and call. The base pay is listed as $139.42 annualized, with an annualized figure of $290,000 and a $100K sign-on incentive.

Benefits include health, life, vision, and dental coverage along with disability and AD&D protection, generous paid time off, flexible spending and health savings accounts, a 401(k) with profit sharing, fully paid malpractice coverage, and available loan repayment and training assistance.

Candidates need a current license as a registered professional nurse, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and certification or recertification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
